Help with music censorship paper? I have most of my paper completed, I just need one more reason why censorship is WRONG and should not occur in music today. I already have the fact censoring music violates our freedom of speech and Pursuit of happines provided in the constitution. Can anyone give me one more? PS: I'm not saying that I like all these lyrics, either. But I just don't listen.
In the Declaration of Independence it says that everybody is entitled to....? "life, liberty and the pursuit of happines." Why then aren't monogamous homosexuals allowed to marry, if it is part of their "pursuit of happiness?" This argument was last used in Loving v. Virginia (1967), and it made inter-racial marriage legal. So, it should be only a matter of time before the same scenario will play out for gays, right? And why are people so afraid of gays marrying...how will it hurt YOU personally? It has worked in other court cases...so apparently it is legal enough. Allie...it is a question...notice the question marks? The statements preceding those are called questions...enough of a grammar lesson for today.

why is marijauna illegal? why does the government have the power to tell people what to do in the privacy of their own homes? doesnt the constitution state that we all have the right to life liberty and the persuit of happiness? dont people have the right to do to themselves as they wish as long as they arent hurting anyone? if marijuana is such a bad substance, why isnt alcohol, tobacco, or saturated fats illegal? isnt it illegal to try to control a person? is that not what the government is trying to do? what i do in my home is my business. what i do to myself is my business. nobody has the right to tell me what i can or cant do to myself in my home. if i pay taxes and support a family, do i not have the right to privacy and personal choice? how many tax dollars go into incarcerating a pothead? weed would generate billions of dollars a year if it were cultivated as cash crop. what im trying to ask is: what gives a person the right to infringe upon my rights of privacy, personal choice, and pursuit of happines
Where does the happiness exist? Think you are simply sitting somehwere happy and content. Then you see something very tasty. The moment you see it you have the desire to acquire it and your happines is gone. You try for it till you get it. You get it and eat it and you think you are happy. So tell me where happiness exists? Is it in that tasty thing(it can be any material that can make you sleeples) or inside you? So if it was in your heart and why you couldn't feel it (which is already existing in you) during that restless pursuit? Its a little Hindu Vedanta which says that your nature is divine and complete. The ignorance and our never satisfied senses(its compared to fire which grows more as it gets more) make it uncovered. Is n't this a lil cool thought to all wonderful humans of all religions when they feel unhappy?

MANY SOCIETIES BELIEVE THAT THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS IS A FUNDSMENSL HUMSNRIGHT BUT IS ALSO TRUE THAT ATTAINMENR OF HAPPINES REMAINS ELUSIVE PERHAPS BERTRAND RUSSEL HAD IT RIGHT WHEN HE SAAID TO "TO BE WITHOUT SOME THINGS YOU WANT IS AN INDESPINSABLE PART OF HAPPINESS".
